Kevin Garnett profile
New BetMGM Ambassador Garnett had impactful spells with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets during his lengthy 21-year NBA career. Garnett is a 15-time NBA All-Star and he collected an MVP award in 2004 for his performances before claiming the Defensive Player of the Year gong four years later in 2008 following his displays for the Celtics on their run to the championship.
Since retiring from the game, Garnett has been turning his skills to entrepreneurship. He recently founded Content Cartel – a production company dedicated to the production of multi-platform content, while a documentary title “Anything is Possible,” is also in the works.
“Kevin Garnett brings a unique energy to everything he does, on and off the court,” Matt Prevost, BetMGM Chief Revenue Officer, said in a media release. “As the basketball season tips off, we look forward to welcoming Kevin to the BetMGM family and working with him on a variety of fan-focused promotions.”
Garnett joins list of high-profile BetMGM Brand Ambassadors
BetMGM have expanded their impressive list of high-profile athletes acting as BetMGM brand ambassadors with their latest partnership.
In March, former Michigan basketball star and NBA player Jalen Rose joined BetMGM in a similar role where he engages with BetMGM customers and MGM Resorts’ M Life Rewards loyalty members, both virtually and in-person.
“The excitement around sports and the growth of sports betting, and BetMGM in particular, this year has been special to witness,” Rose said in a media release. “I’m beyond excited to go from a spectator to a player joining the BetMGM team, continuing to defy industry expectations.”
Two more well-known legends, Wayne Gretzky and Barry Sanders, also joined BetMGM as brand ambassadors earlier in 2021, while ex-NFL running back Marshawn Lynch teamed up with the company in July.
“Being part of the BetMGM family is dope and an honor. They’re the leaders in online gaming so I’m excited to learn about the industry from the best and find ways where I can have an impact,” Lynch said. “Plus, with ambassadors like Barry, Gretzky and Jalen, I think da’ kid is in good company, ya know what I mean?”
